Avoid a headache and skip the cd The adapter works just fine with my Win 10 pc. What I did have a problem with is installing the ‘device manager’ from the enclosed cd. What a waste of time! It never did install correctly so I finally uninstalled it all, and just plugged in the adapter. It was immediately recognized and I was able to use the Connect button through the Notification Center to start using my Bluetooth headphones. My advice is that if you want to avoid a headache just slip in the dongle first let Windows find a 4.0…

CD drivers required for proper functioning. This is not really “plug and play” in windows 10. The default driver you get will not work well at all. Use the one on the CD.

The default bluetooth drivers have been working fine (for once These bluetooth adapters are inexpensive, solid and functional. I tested them on Linux and Windows (7 and 10) with ease.
